Hyperinsulinemia activates the sympathetic system and promotes renal sodium reabsorption — both drive up blood pressure. When our duplex ultrasound reveals a finding on the leg or pelvic veins, we refer directly to the Vein Center in Leipzig — a practice specialized in phlebology, from work-up to modern vein therapy.
